Mrs. Joan Klingenschmidt McGougan
Church Secretary
Joan was born and raised in Red Springs and grew up at First Baptist. She made her commitment to Christ at 13 and was baptized. She attended Pembroke State University (UNC-P) and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After marrying her husband, Bill (a farmer), she had two adult children Martha and William.
After working several jobs, including Citizen Printing and Family Florist, she came to First Baptist in February of 2008 and brought terrific knowledge and experience to the FBC family.
She now makes her home in Lumber Bridge and enjoys reading, singing in the choir, and attending Bible Study Fellowship.
